Little Rocket
The completed rocket is about 14cm high when made with 8ply yarn on 3.25mm needles.
You will need:
- Small amounts of three or four different 8ply yarns (only 10g of the two main colours, and very small amounts of the other one or two)
- Set of 3.25mm double-pointed needles
- Darning needle for sewing together
- Polyester fibrefill for stuffing
Gauge is not important for this project.

Next round: [k2 tog, k6] around
Knit 2 rounds
Next round: [k2 tog, k5] around

Cut yarn, draw through the remaining stitches and secure tightly.
Fins (make three)
Using a pair of 3.25mm needles, cast on 4sts
Purl 1 row
Next row: k1, m1, k2, m1, k1 (the second m1 can be a little tricky on this row)
Purl 1 row
Next row: k2, m1, k2, m1, k2
Purl 1 row
Next row: k3, m1, k2, m1, k3
Purl 1 row
Next row: k4, m1, k2, m1, k4
Purl 1 row
Next row: k5, m1, k2, m1, k5 (14sts)
Stst for 3 rows, starting with a purl row.
Next row: ssk, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog
Next row: p2tog, purl to last 2 sts, p2tog tbl
Repeat the last two rows until 4 sts remain (last row will be a knit row)
Cut yarn, draw through the remaining stitches and secure tightly.
Fold the fin in half lengthwise and sew the row ends together leaving enough of an opening to push stuffing through. Stuff with fibrefill and sew the opening closed.
Position the three fins evenly around the rocket, remembering to take into account where the window is.
Stitch around the window in a contrast colour. Sew in and cut all yarn ends.
Ta-da!

The following are photos of my little man running off with the rocket as I was trying to get a picture of it. I had to wait until he was in bed in the end lol
